We have trouble obtaining the correct commands for your device. Please test the commands included in the following Live IR Test.

The Live IR Test works the following way:

    1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
    2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
    3. Click on "Live IR Test".
    4. Enter into the text field the following code: VuKasAzfak
    5. Test the commands

    Thanks for testing!

I'm very sorry to hear! We will go on trying to obtain the correct commands. Also, is the Brain perfectly in line of sight?

Okay, chances are high that these commands are not working for you. But still, is the climate device at the same position as e.g. your TV? That all other devices work does not necessarily mean that the climate device is in a good position. Can you send me a picture with the Brain and climate device positions? Thanks!

Noting yet, no. But we are in contact with a supplier of commands for climate device. Maybe they will finally have working commands.

  • Andy, the silence is makes for a painful wait. Mitsubishi Aircons are one of the popular standards in asia. I'm wondering why it's taking so long?

In the meantime we figured out that it is a so-called "mode based" device. Right now we are not capable of controlling such devices. But we are working on it.

    • Andy i dont think thats the case, because a simple ir remote from the hardwareshop of 10 dollars could control it without problem, the manager told me my air conditioner is just programmed by a set of reused codes from the manufacturer, which is shared by many manufacturers, hence making it easy to replicate

Can you send me a picture of the 10 dollar remote? I guess it's one of the many A/C multi remote. These are usually very cheap but work well with such devices. That's because they have a chip built in that handles this. We don't have this chip built in and have to do a software solution.

  • Andy @Neeo, Why not take a leaf from Sensibo Sky that have the codes for multiple brands of airconditioners?

IR codes for Airconditioners are not straight forward. I have tried to learn the codes myself and have not been successful.

I'm afraid Paul is right. We actually have a lot of codes for Mitsubishi. But as explained above, these are mode based climate devices. I have another appointment with a climate company tomorrow. Hopefully we get closer to a solution.

Please excuse the very long delay.

Please be assured that we are trying to fix these issues as quickly as possible. There are many more customers waiting on a Mitsubishi integration. We where recently able to obtain new commands. We need to do further tests, but if all goes well, we'll offer you a new Live IR Test soon.

A new possible solution is underway that could fix our A/C device issues. It's a new source with thousands of model based A/C drivers. I'll let everybody waiting on clima support -  and these are a lot - about the first test results. IF all goes well, we should soon be able to add most of the open climate requests. Many thanks for all your patience and please excuse all the trouble caused!

      Hi everybody!

I just wanted to give you a status update for your Mitsubishi A/C device request.

In the meantime we where able to organize the codes for most Mitsubishi A/C devices and where able to divide them into two categories: Mode based and non-mode based.

The non-mode based devices present no issue and where just added. Unfortunately, the mode based devices cannot be supported by NEEO. Mode based devices are the following series:

      MFZ-Series
      MSC-Series
      MSZ-Series (most of them)
      MSY-Series

Let me explain why these devices cannot be supported and what mode based means:

We distinguish between non-mode based devices and mode based devices.
When sending a command to a non-mode based device, for example, TEMP UP command, the temperature will rise, no other setting is affected. That’s different from mode based devices. They have combined IR commands. The TEMP UP command would also contain the fan settings, mode settings (e.g. dry), etc. If NEEO would send some TEMP commands, all settings would be changed.

As another example, if the temperature on the A/C device is set to a specific temperature and you are sending e.g. a FAN command, it would also raise or lower the temperature to the degree, that is included within the combined FAN IR command. The same command also could include the setting Mode Dry and Oscillation On, while with the original setting, before sending the FAN command, Mode Dry and Oscillation may have been Off. As a result a combined command can mess up all your settings and make the device unusable, if such commands are not handled correctly. This means that we would have to offer all possible combinations of codes - which would be a couple of hundreds to a couple of thousand commands and combinations. There is currently no possibility for us to combine them. Also, we think presenting the customer with thousands of codes is a user nightmare.

As this cannot be solved, we’ll close this post for now. If we will ever able to find a solution for this and control mode based A/C devices, we’ll come back to you and let everybody now. At the moment there is no foreseeable time frame for this and I cannot make any promises.

I’m very sorry for the bad news and many thanks for your understanding! If you have any further questions, let me know. Thanks!
