  • I just received my beta package. It wasn't my first NEEO unpacking experience but it was still impressive. again i'm having a smile from ear to ear :-D

  • I received my Neeo a few hours ago and was ecstatic over the un-boxing experience. I have opened many beautiful packages over the years so I guess it takes a lot to impress me. However, Neeo did just that. I was very impressed!! (Giggling like a silly child!)

To me that's a good start and I immediately pictured the expression on the faces of all those nay-sayers who were negative on the comments section, going through this same un-boxing experience then deeply regretting what they said!

  • Unboxing was very impressive! I like the slide out drawers and the build quality is amazing. As mentioned before, a personalised signature from Raphael NEEO was the perfect finishing touch!

  • I just got my Neeo, impressed with the unboxing and the general quality of the devices. Living in Denmark on grown up with B&O and got a very familiar feeling. The remote is a combination of a b&o remote and a iPhone 4 in the good way :-)

Getting it setup to network was easy

  • Raphael NEEO and the NEEO team: Today I received the NEEO. With the delivery scheduled during day time and knowing I would not be at home, I had the delivery rerouted to my office. This worked out well and I was able to take it home. Now I can start playing with it.

Others have already commented on the unboxing experience and there is little else to add to it other than wow.

I do want to thank you for the personalized note included with the NEEO. I very much appreciated it.

  • Hi,

    My initial impressions.

    Shipping box - excellent
    postal address - correct
    Fedex Tracking - accurate
    Fees to pay - none
Damage to outer box - none

    Unboxing experience

Cutting my thumbnail into the plastic film was scary and exciting !
Didn't want to hurt the precious box !
Apple might have had a little pull tab, but it was fine.

Initial setup, very smooth and intuitive.

Cables, very premium feel, love the braided USB cables.

The remote itself looks and feels really great and according to my children looks very modern, not like those old chunky Pronto remotes !!

The charging base was surprisingly heavy and I can see that it will happily stay put with the remote plugged into it.

Placing the remote into the charging doc was perfect first time, but the beep confirmation once it had power make it pretty clear when it is docked successfully.

I plugged in and placed the IR extender before even connecting the power, would it have prompted me to connect it if I hadn't ?

Sonos configured quite easily, I don't appear to be able to access Napster through it yet?

Easily added steps to a SONOS recipe to switch on my amp, it was a SONOS Connect:AMP, so perhaps it could have figured out that it would be connected through the AMP and would use the AMP volume controls and need to power on AMP etc.

Like the ! On my BluRay device which then prompted me for connection info about which source and how it was connected, very intuitive to use !

    Will post more later !

  • Initial reactions, I love the packaging! I love that everything has its spot in the box. My remote had a full charge and the screen looks amazing! The cable ties are a bonus, as well as the braided cables, they look and feel great.

Setup was a breeze with my Android phone, got my TV, Xbox One, and TiVo setup. Working now to shift my Z Wave controller.

  • My NEEO arrived.

No problems with the shipping. It arrived in good conditions.

Unboxing was great, like the others already wrote. The heavy charging dock is great. And also the quality of the USB cables. And the USB cables are long enough from the bookshelf to the power socket on the floor. The Power adapters for Germany are included.

Now its time to get it run.

  • FINALLY I GOT MY NEEO!

It was a bit hassle with customs and Fedex delayed delivery for couple days + over weekend but I got my package today. 😍

If I have to describe unboxing experience with one word, it would be GLORIOUS!

    Unboxing

+ I don't remember when was the last time i got so excited just opening black box.
+ Personal card was even more magnificent than I hoped!
+ Box drawers are brilliant. Never seen implementation like this before
+ Never seen this quality cables embedded with electronics, very nice!
+ Cables are longer than normally, more flexibility to device placement!
    - Protecting film over the remote screen + brain + docking station had some bubbles

    Remote

+ This is thinner than predicted, feels very nice in hand!
+ Weight is perfect, aluminium top & plastic bottom feels very well joined together. Feels very solid.
+ Display resolution is better than I have seen on any remote
+ Overall feeling is impressed when holding this remote!

    Charging dock

+ HOLY CRAP this is heavy! Is there lead inside??? (only positive feeling)
    + Magnetic touch is brilliant
    + Beeping sound is clever...

    Brain

+ This is gorgeous peace of design! I'm sure that many consumers could be fooled that this new Apple product.
+ Shiny top cover is amazing.
+ Mysterious switch hidden under top cover? ("click" if neeo-logo is pressed)
    - How to turn off the white led, still shining after power off recipe...? Quite bright in the night...

    Initial setup

    - Was suprised that setup needed to download Neeo app to get brain up and running. Is there a option in the future to use remote for initial setup?
+ After Neeo app installed (IOS) everything went smoothly. Guide pictures and pages are informational and clear.
+ It is very easy to add new devices...
+ Got my Pioneer amplifier and Apple TV to work like a charm, can't wait to get rest of my equipment to work as well :)

Oh my... it turned out to be quite long post. Sorry! 😀

    • Onni Manninen How does the Apple TV integration work? Does the Apple TV let you add the NEEO remote as another bluetooth controller like the Apple one?

      Like
    • Frank Campbell Actually my Gen3 (or maybe it is Gen2) AppleTV uses only IR commands and Gen4 AppleTV with Siri support is using Bluetooth because of newest model builtin microphone, trackpad & accelerometer.

I haven't tried Neeo with Gen4 AppleTV but after quick checking with google I think Gen4 AppleTV is accepting IR commands also. ( https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/295355/Where+is+the+IR+sensor )

So in my case Neeo is using just IR and I didn't have to do anything with AppleTV settings to get it work. I'm pretty sure that Gen4 is also accepting IR so Neeo will probably using IR instead of Bluetooth.

Markus Mahr can you confirm this?

I have a gen4 (and gen2, gen3) that I tested with and NEEO works fine with them now.  The only important thing is to execute an unpair with the existing remote first (if you paired the remote).  Without doing the unpair, the IR is flaky (only certain commands will work).

      Like
    • Tim Roberts Ok, I haven't noticed problems even I haven't unpaired old IR remote. Can you give an example what kind of commands are not working without pairing the remote? I have been using mainly Netflix and YouTube with my AppleTV and there all the commands I need are working just I need. Have to check if my old remote is paired with my AppleTV or not... 🙂

    • Onni Manninen

From my understanding - AppleTV has a bunch 'sets' of IR commands.  You can 'pair' a remote to the AppleTV and it will choose a set of IR commands for that remote (that way you can have multiple AppleTVs exist in a room with multiple remotes functioning correctly - each paired to a specific appletv).  Unfortunately, some of those commands overlap enough with the standard set that an 'unpaired' remote can trigger.  So the flackyness comes into which set was chosen and it's really tough to determine what commands will get triggered (because it depends on the IR set select).  If you never paired a remote, then you won't have issues because both the brain and appletv is using the same standard IR set.

I can confirm that all actually available Apple TV generations understand IR-Signals. Also I can confirm that Apple implemented more than one set of codes to get a pair lock. As Tim described.

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that. Is there a way to unpair a remote or would a factory reset take care of it?

    • Paul Spee Apple built in a specific command to send over IR to unbind the remote it is called UN PAIR. if you use this command first, the apple tv reacts to all sets of the ir databse build in. that makes it much easier to use several remotes!

      Like
    • Thanks Markus Mahr I didn't realize the Apple TV supported that many commands. Anyone could add the UN PAIR command to their recipe and the Apple TV would respond to the default set of IR commands.

As Markus Mahr said - you can unpair by adding the unpair shortcut to neeo and executing it (then the appletv is set back to the standard set).  I can confirm this as it's what I needed to do when testing it.

  • i know I am a little late in posting my first impression but even 4 days later i still cannot believe the attention to detail and simplicity that has gone in to the packaging and design.  unpacking the black box out of the initial brown package was a treat and a tease. Every layer of foam i went through grew my anticipation.  i love the sleek look and the "drawer" design that was smart for all the cables.  only flaw i have encountered with the physical product was a slight cut in the plastic of the screen protector.  i peeled the plastic back to see if the actual screen of the remote was affected in any way and it was not.  i assume this happened due to a bubble and packaging of the remote into the box. i have posted the picture to this response.  The weight and feel of the remote in your hand makes it feel like its meant to be there.  not too bulky, comfortable to hold and even with the slender body it doesn't seem to want to slip out accidentally.

  • Overall impression is good. Remote feels great and set up was pretty easy. Tactile feel of everything is superb. But for my particular set up, having some issues and noticing some bugs. Existing set up involves TV mounted to wall with an IR extender at the bottom of the TV that then relays IR commands to the rest of the AV equipment on the other side of the wall. Currently using a Harmony which of course broadcasts the IR signals directly from the remote itself. i can't seem to find a location in the main room to place the brain where it is sufficiently discreet and can get a good line of site to the existing IR extender. If I place the brain next to the other equipment, then it can't control my TV, as I don't have a blaster on the TV from the IR extender. Was previously relying on Harmony remote directly for that. I hope I can find a way to make it all work. Would've been great to include an IR transmitter in the primary remote itself rather than only relying on the brain.

The other bug I noticed is that when I add the "mode movie" shortcut for my Denon receiver, it seems to cycle through 4 different modes every time I hit it, instead of just bringing up the mode menu. So will need to play with that a bit as well.

      Many thanks for your feedback!

We have a Denon AVR in our office. I'll check that and come back to you. If I understand you correctly, when you press the same button on the original remote, a menu does open where you can choose the mode instead of cycling?

      Like
    • Andy yes, on the AVR remote, when i press the movie Mode button it brings up the movie mode menu and then with each subsequent push advances the cursor to the next mode selection. On the NEEO, I created a shortcut to the movie mode button and each press advances the cursor 4 positions instead of one. So even upon the first press, it doesn't just bring up the Mode menu, but also advances it four positions.

We have created a Live IR Test. There you can test the Mode command and alternative Cursor commands. Let me know the results. Thanks! The Live IR Test works the following way:

      1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
      2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
      3. Click on "Device Commands Support".
      4. Enter into the text field the following code: ZnZCqKwLiL
      5. Test the commands.

      Thanks!

      Like
    • Andy the new commands work fine. Pressing the movie mode in the test settings now just advances the cursor one position instead of four on screen. And the the other cursor position buttons (including the normal as well as RR versions) seem to work great as well.

      Thanks!

    • Andy btw, whatever fix you implement for movie mode should probably also apply to music Mode. I don't really miss the music mode much but I tested it and it is advancing 4 spots rather than 1, like the movie mode does.

    • Andy wonderful. It's working!

On a side note, and forgive me as I haven't searched for the forums yet for an answer or resolution to this, but there is an issue with adding antenna/over the air channels to favorites on my TiVo. Of course the format for most antenna channels is ##-#, but when I subsequently select the favorite channel, it loses the dash and TiVo just goes to Chanel ###.

I havent looked to check to see if this has been fixed yet.  Perhaps it has.

    • Andy not sure if others are having this issue, but sometimes the remote seems to continue to send volume control signals after I stop pressing it. But can't seem to consistently replicate it. Often it stops when I release pressing volume up, often times it keeps on going up and up. Seems to happen regardless of whether I'm using the remote or app. Again, using a denon AVR 3312 receiver.

We plan to add more customization options in future releases. Remapping buttons may be a part of this. Regarding the missing dash - theoretically you don't need this with NEEO. The idea is to add favorites and to switch channels manually.

  • Jeremy Porter Thanks a lot for the feedback.

I am not sure I am imagining your setup correctly, maybe some images would help me with that. So far we have managed to find a position where everything was working for every single setup we have tried, also for our beta testers.

Wouldn't it be an option to have the NEEO Brain in the position where you can control you equipment and then use our included additional IR emitter to make sure you can control the TV too?

The last bug you are describing sounds like an issue with the IR command itself. I will put our device driver team on the case, I am sure they can fix that one. Andy will let you know once this can be tested again. Could you tell me which exact device you have added to NEEO? Was it exactly the one you own?

  • You'll see the TV hanging on the wall. It's on a mount that allows it to extend down and away from the wall. You'll see the existing IR relay/extended hanging down facing out toward the room at the bottom of the tv.

The IR extender is then wired through the wall through a tube down to a corner of the room behind this wall where it then connects to the transmitter/receiver relay that then carries the IR signals to the rest of the equipment in that room.

Because the TV and IR receiver face out toward the room, the original IR signal needs to emit toward the face of the TV and the IR receiver and ideally control the TV whether the TV is in the up or down position.

If the brain is behind the wall, the IR extender of the brain would need to extend through the wall and then be in a position to always relay to the front of the TV and IR receiver.

The back of the viewing room is a sliding glass door. So if the NEEO IR extender is placed right next to the existing IR receiver, it will relay through the receiver but I can't get it to turn the TV on or off. I don't think they are bouncing off the walls in a way, or going out the glass door, such that they are returning to the TV. Make sense?

It will just be difficult to get the NEEO  IR extender/emitter to communicate with both the TV and IR receiver at the same time, while also allowing the TV to go up or down. The existing Harmony works well, as I stated, because the remote itself is an emitter and sitting on the couch allows for clear access to both the TV and receiver.

I have a subwoofer down to the right of the TV pictures against the wall. Placing the brain there, it just seems the IR signal doesn't have a clear enough line of site to the receiver on the TV to control things reliably.

On the receiver issue, yes, I added the specific receiver. But there were several options (different zones for example) for my receiver, the Denon AVR 3312 CI. So I thought I had selected the right one.

Don't mean to take up all your time, but you asked... :-)

    Thanks!

Jeremy Porter Wouldn't it be an option to have the NEEO Brain behind the wall with all your equipment and then adding the included IR extender to where your IR receiver sits currently (below the TV)? Why would you still need the IR receiver/bridge you have already set up? I guess I am missing something.

      Like
    • Patrick it could potentially work. But the NEEO extender might technically be behind the plane of the TV and not be able to turn it on and off. I could try it. The current position I've found for the brain seems to now be working pretty consistently but I may try as you suggest.

Are IR signals pretty good about bouncing off walls to reach the correct IR receiver?

Jeremy Porter The additional NEEO IR Emitter also emits IR in 360 degrees, so basically should be able to control your TV. Still glad to hear that you have found a position which is working for you.

Yes, IR signals do get reflected in general, but this depends a lot from the distance, angle, and surface of what is surrounding the NEEO Brain / IR Emitter.

Setup process was indeed close to effortless (at least in my case); I was adding devices within 10 minutes. Speaking of which, I love being able to add devices through the app; my present remote is a Harmony One, and changing anything is a giant pain.

The only big missing piece for me right now is IR learning - I have an Outlaw RR2150 receiver which the Neeo doesn't currently support, so my options for activities I can control in my home theater setup are pretty limited until I can use it.

  • My two NEEO remotes arrived today. Easily the best Kickstarter product fulfillment I have ever received, and I have been fortunate to have almost entirely positive experiences. Unboxing and quality of packaging is very much an Apple-esque experience. Setup pretty smooth. Set up my LG 77, Emotiva XMC-1, AppleTV 4, Amazon Fire, Opportunity-based UDP-205, and DirecTV with few problems, all in under a half-hour. Successful firmware updates on both the remote and the brain required more than one reboot, but that's small stuff. [I have discovered one small problem that I hope can be fixed soon and I have posted a separate topic for it. 4k on the Emotiva XMC-1 is hard-wired to HDMI input 8, and the NEEO command set for the XMC-1 does not currently include an HDMI input 8.]

    •  Obviously, that's "Oppo UDP-205." I swear, auto-incorrect seems to get stupider over time.

One other note: the Brain seems very effective transmitting commands. My rig is in a large cabinet, with the TV on top. The Brain sits on top next to the TV base, and is able to send commands to all the components that sit on several shelves below, all made of solid hardwood, and some behind glass. Impressive.

  • Unfortunately not ready for prime time.

After waiting years after the end of the kickstarter project, my Neeo finally arrived yesterday. Firstly the good. The packaging, cables, remote - all of the hardware was excellent. Now the bad. With my setup, the missing stuff includes a lack of working stop command for either Apple TV or Xfinity X1 (both I would have thought, prime devices). The inability to access a number of inputs on my Pioneer VSX-52 receiver including most annoyingly HDMI2. As a result of the above I had to try to manually reprogram the recipes which in the end resulted in the brain losing the plot and me having to reset everything and start again. Then I have the problem of the remote flagging 'please wait' usually during fast forward of the ads on the Xfinity. By the time that the message goes away and I can control my system again, I have to rewind back to where I wanted to be. During programming often the recipes froze and I had to close and reopen the app to get around this. I like (not love, but like) my Neeo and I will wait for firmware updates to make it really useable but in the meantime I can only use it alongside my Harmony One, not instead of. A number of the promised features (fingerprint identification, control of stuff like Nest thermostats etc) is also not present yet. I would count myself as disappointed but not yet ready to give up......

      Many thanks for your feedback!

Apple TV and Xfinity X1 are indeed prime devices. These are intensely tested and should work perfect. The stop buttons are included for both devices. Are they missing or not working? Which X1 and Apple TV generation are you using?

Regarding the VSX-52 - There are 8 HDMI inputs available, including HDMI 2. Is it not working? Can you tell me which exact inputs are not working?

Thanks! I hope we can get all you devices working ASAP!

    • Andy Thanks for the prompt reply Andy. I believe that the Apple TV is the latest version and I'm not sure what version the X1 is. It is black with a blue display and is about a year old. In both cases the stop buttons are there but don't do anything. For example when watching recorded or on-demand material on X1, the stop button normally stops the content and takes you back to the menu, often after asking you whether you would like to delete. The work-around currently is pressing the back button which takes you to the menu and then going into the content and deleting it manually. Much the same on the Apple TV (without the delete thing).

Regarding the VSX52, it only has 6 physical HDMI inputs. The full list (which is correctly articulated in the Harmony software) is:

      BD

      DVD

      TV/SAT

      Video

      DVR/BDR

      HDMI 1

      HDMI 2

      HDMI 3

      HMG

      iPod/USB

      CD

      Tuner

      ADPT

      Sirius

Because this is totally different to the Neeo list of

      BD

      CD 1

      CDr

      DVD 1

      Dvr 1

      Dvr 2

      Dvr/bdr

      HDMI 1

      HDMI 2

      HDMI 3

      HDMI 4

      HDMI 5

      HDMI 6

      HDMI 7

      HDMI 8

      iPod

      Portable

      Sirius XM

      Tuner 1

      TV

I assume that you have the wrong library. In addition to all of this, the brain sometimes loses connection, the app crashes (either on a totally white screen or black circular progress bar stops at around 2pm), the remote does the 'please wait' things and then sometime cannot connect to the brain. There are multiple issues at the moment.

I'm totally keen to get all of this sorted out and I realize that there will be teething problems. I hope that you get them ironed out soon. Thanks, Graeme

Graeme Harrison Thanks a lot for the feedback, glad to hear you not giving up right away. We are at the beginning, we are working as hard as we can to get all issues sorted out as quickly as possible. We are therefore honestly grateful for feedback.

Andy Should be able to get the commands issues sorted out quickly, he is amazing in finding and fixing such issues. It would be really cool if you could maybe figure out which very X1 you have, that would help Andy a lot. A picture of the label would already be great.

Concerning the connection issues, are you running on the latest firmware as described over here?

I have created a Live IR Test containing possible inputs. Please let me know which one is working. Thanks!

Also, I have created a Live IR Test for the Apple TV. There seems to be something wrong that is not related to the commands. I have just retested it - stop works perfectly.

      AVR Inputs: uX88s8Z4tV

      Apple TV Stop: OkuLjLSXov

The Live IR Test works the following way:

      1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
      2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
      3. Click on "Device Commands Support".
      4. Enter into the text field the following code: Enter one of the codes listed above.
      5. Test the commands.

      Thanks!

      Hi again,

Here's another Live IR Test: 8uEhP9KUxd

I'm pretty sure this command should work as HDMI 2.

Regarding the stop - this is extremely strange. This is the exactly same command that is already included to your Apple TV. And this command works in app and on the remote. I have retested it. Can you test it again with app and remote? Thanks!

  • So far, I am disappointed with my Neeo remote.  After backing it then waiting for nearly 3 years I was excited to unpack and set it up.  After being walked through a pretty standard "search for device" process that I have done countless times with other "universal" remotes I was immediately met with frustration as every single one of my devices are evidently "dumb devices".

My home is far from being fully automated so my expectations aren't what I would consider unreasonable.  My expectations were to be able to program recipes that would turn my TV on and off, control my reciever/tuner (which serves as the central hub of the inputs/outputs of my home viewing entertainment), and (in the rare occurrence that I do not have my phone with me) adjust my Nest thermostat.

Now having used it for a few days I am unfortunately underwhelmed.  I will be the first to concede that perhaps I am just missing the obvious which is why I am writing here.

I watched the backing video again and my remote does not recognize my hand, it does not pull up a list of movies or music (as demonstrated in the video), I have no clue how to setup parental controls, I have a device setup option for my mac mini but all I get is a power button icon once it is setup.

My expectations are the same as they were before.  I would like the ability to control every device in my home.  The standards of controlling my TV, Receiver, Apple TV, Mac Mini, and Nest systems would be wonderful.  Additionally it would be awesome if I could control my Apple Airport Expresses I have setup in each room of my house for music, or at least the music that is being streamed to them.

If anyone out there in Planet Neeo land can educate or assist me in this, I would greatly appreciate it.  So far my experience with Neeo has been that is NOT "insanely easy to setup" and it is not the "Ultimate Universal Remote"... I now have 4 remotes, a bluetooth keyboard, and a mouse on my coffee table instead of 3 remotes...

Thanks for reading my frustrated rant.

I'm not a backer, but I've been following Neeo for 2+ years - starting around the time we redesigned our media room. At the time, I was looking for a remote that could easily manage all of my devices. That's it. What I wasn't looking for was a high-end piece of hardware that felt good in my hand and had all the buttons precisely positioned... I just wanted something that worked, unlike all of the other options on the market at the time. Of course, if I could get something that accomplished this *and* looked/felt great, even better!

My impression all along with Neeo is that their focus was (is?) in the wrong spot. At the end of the day, what sets you apart in this space is software, not hardware. If you can crack the nut of getting different devices from different manufacturers in a myriad of different configurations (including *how* these devices are connected and *where* these devices are located in one's house), you've managed to solve a problem that no other company has. Not Logitech, not Savant, not etc. etc. Hell, Apple could easily get into this arena if they wanted but I imagine there's good reason they've stayed away. This is a very, very hard problem to solve and I salute Neeo for trying.

So, I'm not at all surprised to see some of the early feedback coming in. Is it possible that all of this noise here in the forums is the exception and that most people will have no problems with their Neeo? Sure. But if I were a betting man, I'd wager that these types of issues/complaints will, unfortunately, be the norm for quite some time.

Software is hard. I help design and write it for a living and the "happy path" is usually the easiest. What sets great software apart from inferior software is how it handles exception cases. And doing this correctly is incredibly challenging, particularly when you don't control the environment (i.e. not in the Neeo labs but out in the wild in people's living rooms, bedrooms, etc.). None of the universal remotes tend to do a good job with this, which, in my humble opinion, is where Neeo had/has a chance to shine. If you throw out a promise to your customers that you've solved the decades-old problem of crappy remotes with crappy software and you actually have, no one will really care that the buttons feel incredible or that there's hand recognition or that the remote has a beautiful brushed aluminum finish. Those things are icing on the cake.

I really do hope that Neeo can shift some of its focus now that the manufacturing side of things has been figured out. Get the software to work *far* better than anything on the market and people will flock to Neeo, I'm certain of that.

Terence McDevitt In my experience so far NEEO doesn't seem to solve the main issue you were concerned about - seamlessly working with all the devices. And I don't even have that many. I was really excited to finally receive NEEO after such a long wait, but so far it has disappointed me. I have yet to get any control (button) working on one of my devices (AV receiver) while in mean time my Apple TV remote can do more than NEEO - control the volume of the same device! At this point my Apple TV remote is more valuable than NEEO :-(

  • I was impressed with the unboxing, but that's where my disappointment began. Any one else disappointed? It seems the more I use it (try to use it), the more frustrated I get. My setup looks almost exactly like the little cartoon setup that shows the brain on the cabinet with the signal flowing out the back. It's the one that talks about where to place the brain. I have my DirecTV box on one shelf and my AV receiver on another (which isn't in the device database btw), so when I place the brain on the top of the cabinet, it will only control the TV. Why doesn't the remote itself send out IR? That would solve my problem. Am I supposed to place the brain on the floor in the middle of the room? Also, I have my video signal going to my tv with HDMI, but my audio goes to my receiver with a digital cable. The app doesn't ask about any audio even though I told it I am using a receiver, so my tv will change input when I switch videos sources but my receiver stays on the same input...

    • Don Griner Use the second IR emitter that comes with every Neeo, once you get everything aligned and setup, the 360 IR beacons on both devices work well. I have my Neeo setup in a back room with the devices spread about 6 feet across and at different levels on a shelf, the Neeo brain can trigger all of them, once I figured out placement of it and then I have the emitter running through the wall and sitting on my center channel, from there it can control my TV just fine.

As far as the drivers for your AV receiver, ask them in a specific topic, give them the exact model number and the guys are good at turning around a driver really fast.

As far as the setup of the AV receivers inputs, once you get it in the database, recreate your recipes by doing a reset wiring, and its pretty straight forward on the setup, it will ask you what input the receiver is plugged into the TV, then every new device added will ask where its plugged in, the TV or receiver, from there choose the proper input and it will do the rest.
