Editing of existing recipies

We need to be able to edit/manage the existing recipes. For my TiVo when I press the icon, it takes me to a screen (the first in the TiVo series) that tells me I have a stupid device and have to do a bunch of stuff manually. The problem is the TiVo doesn't have a power button, so ideally I would go to the third screen in the series for the TiVo which has the control buttons.

  • I would also request duplication of recipes for editing. It doesn't seem like I can create a custom recipe with all the options of a built in recipe. For instance, I'd like to stream/listen using my apple TV without turning the TV on. But I can't seem to, for instance, create a "use volume" command in my custom recipe, as is automatically generated with the standard watch Apple TV recipe. But if I could duplicate and rename, I would simply delete the Power TV ON step of the recipe.

  • Jeremy Porter We are aware of this one and we are working on solutions. At the moment there is a "work around" for that one by just adding a device you don't actually have. In your case you may go ahead and just add the Apple TV again, from the recipe created you may then remove the power on and input command for the TV.

Corey Barberie Is that on option in the settings for the TiVo Box or is it technically not possible to turn that one off?

Patrick one can turn the TiVo DVR (HD S3 in my case) off by using a menu option. Turning it back on is usually a 3 to 5 minute process as it boots up. It's meant to be on all the time in normal use. Thanks.

  • I emailed a request in re TiVo the other day. My TiVo HD S3 keeps chugging along and it is miffed at being called "stupid." The "stupid" screens when starting and stopping the recipe need to be removed, as you note, one doesn't normally turn on/off the TiVo DVR. And there needs to be a way to reorder the menu screens as I would like to start out with the middle one. Otherwise the Remote controls work fine--use a long press on the Remote Menu button to get to the TiVo Central screen...

      Many thanks for your feedback!

I agree with you! I have marked the driver as "Always on". The new data should appear around 12PM CET. This is one of the rare cases where an device update is not sufficient. Please remove and re-add your device. Am I assuming correctly that you are using the driver for TiVo Series3?

Andy super, thank you, I deleted and re-added the device and it works great now! Yes, TiVo Series 3. Appreciate all the work from the NEEO team, well done!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

I have just marked the TiVo Series3 as an "Always on" device. Which exact model are you using?

    Thanks!

  • All tivos are always on. Is there an IP driver?

  • Roamio pro, but as noted above all TiVos should be always on.

  • I would love for a way for my TV power button to be added to the TiVo control screen or automatically give it the on command when I select the TiVo. I suppose that goes back to my other request to be able to change the default recipes

      Hi again,

      You can absolutely do that.

Methode 1: Go to test last screen in your TV recipe and add the shortcut from your TV to this screen.

Methode 2: This should already be the case. If you have the TV and the TiVo added to the same room and wired to each other, it does automatically add the Power on of your TV to the recipe. Also, tell NEEO that you want to use TiVo as your tuner.

You can send us a screenshot of the current TiVo recipe if it's still unclear.

      Thanks!

    Thanks!

I'm just in a discussion with another user that is quite happy about the power on solution. But I agree with you. It sucks to wait for powering on of the device. If we decide to leave the Power buttons in it, you could simply remove the power steps from the recipe.
