Recipes not turning off
When I have multiple recipes running, the power button on the remote doesn’t shut all of them down. So the next time someone uses the remote it thinks devices(like the TV) are still on, so it won’t turn devices on. I have to shut down all the recipes to then run the recipe again to turn everything on correctly. It would be nice if the power button turned all the recipes off. Is there a way to do this?

Hi, can you give examples of your recipes ?
the physical buttons are linked to the recipe currently open (the device(s) you are currently controlling). So based on your recipe it would switch off one or multiple device(s).

I’ll run my DirecTv recipe then my Netflix recipe then my Blu-ray recipe. Then when I try to shut everything down I press the power button on the remote and all my equipment shuts down but on the remote the DirecTv and Netflix recipes are still on. So whenever someone uses it next, neeo thinks those are still running so it doesn’t turn the equipment back on.

This seems to be related to a Bug i dicovered myself. You do exactly the same as i do, you added your TV a few times to provide a Netflix and Watch TV section, then i have the exact same issue with the Netflix recipe.
Did all other (automatically generated) Recipes only bring up one Banner, if you transit between them? Did you change something by hand in your recipes?

Both can be related to the following:
For each destination device (TV, Beamer) and all double added one of them NEEO creates one active banner, that is willed.
But if you have only one destination device with different source devices (DVD-Player, Settop Box, receiver) you should only see one banner during transit from one recipe to the other. As long as you don't edit a recipe by hand and mix different destination devices.
Michael Jata currently the best way is to add power ON/OFF (or power Toggle) commands to a recipe as shortcut seems to be the best solution, since neeo is not yet capable of asking witch destination it should use. As far as I know, this is a planned feature that later can be (or at least should be, in my opinion) configured by the user.
I hope Patrick or Raphael can confirm if I right or not.

Breen Patrick Lyden Michael Jata yes, Markus Mahr is right. One other possible solution for now which I saw some people are using was to create all recipes with one „target“ device in one room and the ‚same‘ recipes again in a second room but linked to the other target device. Once recipes can launch or power off other recipes (coming for sure) you could also think about adding all ‚power off‘ recipes to the target device of the other „room“ so if you watch Apple TV on your TV as example and you wanted to bring it to the projector you simply launch Apple TV in the projector room and it will turn everything needed on but shut down the TV and remove the „old“ active banner independent from what source you were on. This is probably how I would solve it as it also takes care of the needed input switching and timing. But - the one piece of launching and powering off recipies via another recipes is not yet in there. Tell me what you think of that approach. Thanks

Markus Mahr is the 'Beamer' the neeo remote? Also, I had to edit all my recipes by hand to get the receiver volume to work with all the recipes. See link.

This is getting really annoying, this remote doesn't have basic universal remote capabilities. I kind of want my money back.

Breen Patrick Lyden know I get it. There is a current bug in the software, I tested that one out by myself. Adding a source device more then one time to use the automatic volume but change the control function in the recipe, ends with not working volume control.
If you ask over at support@neeo.com they for sure provide you info if refunds are still possible or not.

Is it normal, that if i change a recipe, the devices in the old recipe not used in the new recipe not turning off!? I think it's a bug. In the harmony the devices not used are turned off correctly! I spent a couple of hrs now trying to setting the neeo up. Some things work but a lot not or just with a complicated workaround. I think the neeo is a great product, but just not ready yet...Dispite the big price, we should get a proper solution soon. Right now im using neeo in parralel to my harmony.....Thx

Is this issue fixed yet? I’d really like to use this remote. As of now, because of this issue the remote is kind of useless. When the wife would rather use 4 remotes instead of the NEEO, you know there’s a problem.

I have also the problem that input devices are not turned off when a recipe is left. Is there a difference between using the hard power off button versus the power off on the screen?

Breen Patrick Lyden No. I have two input devices: setup tv box and computer connected to receiver. When I use recipe "computer" and switch to recipte "tv" the computer is not powered off...

Breen Patrick Lyden Due to the fact, that this is not a Fault directly, this is not with high prio i guess. But also i don't work for NEEO and therefor can't say fore sure.
If you add more then one target device to neeo, this will currently be handled correct, since you also can be able to use different Target devices from the same type with NEEO. Also it makes no sense in normal use to shut down all active recipes.
The Manual Recipe Bug mentioned and the Other Bug with the Control Step is still work in progress and Tracked by NEEO.
