Cable AT&T ISB7500 Previous Channel

Hello, I have the ISB7500 made by Cisco for AT&T U-Verse. I do not have the ability to use the "back" hard button for "previous channel". Is this possible? I added "previous channel" to shortcuts but I can only use it once to go to the previous channel and if I press it again it does not function to go to the previous channel. In other words I cannot go back and forth between channels, I can only use it once. I would love to have this feature be a part of the hard button "back button".

  • Chris Galando Did you allready try a Long Press on the Back Button?

when the code only works one time, it can have different Issues, i will pull in Andy and Fäbu maybe they can check the code. But if your Remote sends out the same code twice and the Box is handling the Previous channel this seems to be an issue with NEEO, else (you remote sends two different codes) then this needs to be added. One of them will let you know what can causing this behavior.

    • Markus Mahr Thanks for the quick reply! The long press of the "back button" does not have any result. the quick press of the "back button" acts as the "exit" from the cable box remote.

  • Hi, Chris Galando. Thank you for reporting this. Could you please check if there are also other shortcuts which only works once? Can you confirm that everything works as expected with your original remote? I've also forwarded this to the team to check the codes.

    • Hi Ingrid , the original remote is working fine. Other shortcuts I have tried work fine. Just the "previous channel" shortcut only functions once. A second press of the "previous channel" shortcut does nothing. I am hopeful this can be remedied in a hard button press of the "back button".

Another issue I have seen with this device is that I cannot enter consecutive numbers. For instance, I cannot go to channel 1005, it only goes to 105 as it does not enter the multiple "0" digit. Any channel that has a consecutive number that is the same will not be entered.

So two issues: first issue is no true "previous channel" option for now and the second issue is with not being able to input consecutive numbers.

I hope my information is helpful toward a remedy. Thanks!

We have found an issue within the driver. This was just corrected! The new data appears around 12AM CET. Please update the device data on NEEO. Thanks!

Thank you for the help on this "previous channel" button issues. It is now resolved. Is there any update to my question on the consecutive numbers topic? I still cannot input channels that have two numbers consecutively, such as 1002, 1228, etc.

I wasn't aware about your digit issue. Do only 4 digit number not work?

    • Andy Hi Andy, thank you for the reply. Any digits pressed consecutively do not work. For example 122, 1118, 1224, 11, 44, etc. If two digits are required it cannot be input. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      A couple of more questions:

      - Is it about sending digits via the favorite screen?
      - Are you not able to input digits when saving a favorite, or are not all digits sent when pressing on an favorite?
      - If they are not sent correctly, do you feel the digits need to be sent quicker or slower?
      - Also, please check positioning of the brain. In the 80% of the cases the digits don't work correctly because of a bad brain position. Make sure that the brain is perfectly in line of sight with the IR receiver of the device.

    • Andy Hi Andy, please see the answers to your questions:

      - Is it about sending digits via the favorite screen? A: The issue occurs on both the favorites and channel input screens

      - Are you not able to input digits when saving a favorite, or are not all digits sent when pressing on an favorite? A: all digits are sent unless they are consecutive, to me the timing seems to be that the remote is sending the digit but it is not being recognized.

      - If they are not sent correctly, do you feel the digits need to be sent quicker or slower? A: I feel the digits could be sent quicker as it seems to send slower than my previous Logitech harmony remote, but not sure if that would resolve the consecutive digit issue

      - Also, please check positioning of the brain. In the 80% of the cases the digits don't work correctly because of a bad brain position. Make sure that the brain is perfectly in line of sight with the IR receiver of the device. A: I tried positioning the brain in multiple locations but the issue still occurs

    • Andy Hi Andy, thanks for the help, we are almost there! A new issue is now the zero digit acts as a delete button, so if I input the channel 1306 it will enter 1, 3, delete the 3, then 6 so I end up with 16. The consecutive digit function now works! but the only issue now is the zero digit delete. The issue occurs on both the favorites page and the digit input page. I appreciate the support!!!

My fault! Made a copy/paste error. Corrected! The new data will appear around 12AM CET. If you are on the most current firmware, the driver should update automatically. If not, please update the driver data manually. Thanks!
