Problem with Alexa after the update.

Alexa, can not control any of the recipes after the new update. Is there any fix for this ?

Also, is there any eta on HomeKit and Google Home support.

Thanks for your help.

    Hello  Aakaash

Did this get resolved or is this still an ongoing issue?

    Thanks!

    • Jeff I've also noticed this same issue. Does seem to be an ongoing issue in the past week or so for me.

      Paul Benario Hi Paul!

Is this an issue where Alexa loses control after a specific event i.e Alexa update, NEEO update etc?

Have you tried to have Alexa re-discover the NEEO?

      Thanks!

    • Jeff I've asked her to re-discover devices, and then she indicates no new devices were found.

I've completely lost control of NEEO from alexa recently. I used to be able to say alexa turn on the apple tv (I have a recipe called apple tv) or alexa turn off the tv and those worked great.  Now these don't work at all.

Paul Benario Can you please try rebooting your NEEO Brain and your Alexa? After they have rebooted, have Alexa re-discover devices. Also, which Alexa do you own?

      Thanks!

    • Jeff Will try it now. I have two echo dots and a sonos PLAY:ONE

    • Paul Benario Still could not find any new smarthome devices.

Given, it used to know how to control these devices, so maybe that has something to do with it's response?

    • Jeff Didn't mean to tag myself, but see above.

    • Jeff Any thoughts? Any workaround?

Jeff its resolved for me since sometime. Thanks

  • Paul Benario I did a factory reset and it seemed to fix the problem.

    • Aakaash of the NEEO?

Paul Benario - Yes. For me, the last update broke something with the integration. You can factory reset it from the NEEO app. Settings > NEEO Brain > Remove all data (Reset) > Reset brain.

    • Aakaash Ugh. Sounds like a huge pain to set everything up again.

Jeff is this a known issue? Is this the best course of action or will a future update fix this again (without me having to hard reset)?

Paul Benario Hi Paul, I have reported this over to our devs. Let me know if it also helps you out as it did Aakaash.

      Thanks!

    • Jeff Thanks. Seems like after I had deleted a device (TV) and re-added a new device (new TV) they got picked up by alexa. looks like I don't need to hard reset after all  ~phew~

Paul Benario Thanks for the update! :)

  • Like you if you're reading this, so disappointed NEEO bailed on us....  But I'm having some success with NEEO and Alexa if I rename the device in the NEEO app.  For example, all of my devices were not recognized by Alexa with the update, but then I renamed my "XBOX" to be "EX BOX" and went through the discovery of devices with the Alexa app, and it found EX BOX.  Immediately I tried turning it on and off and it worked.  However, I think that renaming it back to XBOX has confused the matter.

    • Does anyone know if another site exists for those of us who are left behind but want to continue to improve our NEEO experience?
