Samsung HW‑K950 Device issue

Manufacturer:                      Samsung

Model Name:                      Samsung HW‑K950
Device Type:                       Dolby Atmos Soundbar

Device Data Version:          Latest

Firmware Version (Brain):    Latest

First of all this devise is not available. Not sure why? It gives the option to use HDMI smart device but that never works all the buttons mappings are wrong. If I use HDMI 1 / 2 it goes to AUX input and so on.

  • Bhushan Ahire Hi, thank you for reporting this. What exactly do you mean when you say

    this device is not available?

Are you able to control your Samsung via IR, when you don't use the device smartener? Which commands except HDMI 1/2 are not working? Thanks.

Ingrid Device was not showing correct panels if I didn't use Smarter. For commands not working I didn't tried anything other than switching source and scroll works but not dedicated to AUX, HDMI etc all those gives me the different source.

      Many thanks for your feedback!

Please excuse, but it is not clear to me what exactly doesn't work for your device.

      - First of all this devise is not available:
The device is available. Just search for: Samsung HW‑K950.

      - It gives the option to use HDMI smart device:
This function has nothing to do with the inputs. It's used for powering on the device. Your device doesn't support discrete (separate) power commands, only POWER TOGGLE. Because of this we offer the device smartener. With this we can track the power state via HDMI CEC and make it possible to use it the same way as when it would have discrete power commands. But this only works if the Samsung device is CEC capable, has CEC activated, is connected with a CEC compatible HDMI cable and the brain is connected to a CEC compatible device -  e.g. your TV or where ever you have the soundbar connected.
If the device smartener fails, one of the requirements described above is not fullfilled. In this case, just choose the "Assumption" mode instead of the smartener. That should work fine.

      - HDMI/Aux inputs:
If I understand you correctly, the inputs are not leading to the correct inputs. Please make a complete list on which input switches to which input on NEEO.

      Thanks!
