IR over HDMI?

Is there a way to get the ir blaster out of sight? Maybe by implementing a ir over hdmi adapter? I hate the little blaster that needs to be in line of sight to my tv. The brain is located in a cabinet where multiple ir devices live. So i don't want any device visible.

  • Does it work when you keep the IR extender behind the TV? IR can bounce off the walls. In my case I have an AppleTV box behind my TV, and the brain on the cabinet below the TV still reaches it.
