Start a recipe from geo-fencing

Hi, I still don't have a neeo but I'm considering getting one for xmas.

Is there some way to trigger recipes based on geo-fencing? I'd like to stablish in the neeo app a radius centered in my house that launches a recipe when I get into the tracked area.

Thanks!

  • I don't think there is a way to start a NEEO recipe by NEEO alone at a moment. But you can use any home automation system that can react to geo-fencing and then start a NEEO Recipe via the NEEO API . I personally do this with IP-Symcon and Geofeny  and trigger a NEEO recipe via the API.

  • Thanks Fonzo, the next idea would be to use a motion sensor (and I wnat to use Hue's) to trigger recipes, something I assume can be easily done. Just need to wait for the Hue Motion Sensor (or homekit) neeo integration then...

Toni Lou If you want to use NEEO with Homekit and want to start recipes via Homekit this can also be done like geo-fencing with any home automation system that has the ability to connect to homekit and then start a NEEO recipe via the NEEO API. I personally use Homekit with NEEO like geofencing with IP-Symcon and HomekitBridge .

Thanks Fonzo , I'm checking IP-Symcom. Maybe it is a bit too much for what I need. I think I'll wait to see if Homekit native integration ( https://planet.neeo.com/t/h4r0gz/homekit ) is something to happen officially in the next months., so I can use my Homekit ready sensors to trigger recipes.
