Neeo Brain issue

Hi,

my brain was working 2 days then I've noticed the light was constantly blinking.

I've tried to restart it bu unplugged it, whitout success

I've tried to push the central button for 10 seconds, without sucess

now my brain, is not blinking anymore and is not connected on my network (Lan and Wan)

I've noticed the central part of the brain (in the clicking zone), the brain is a little bit warm (not hot but warm)

I've tried to switch the power supply but it is the same thing.

What can I do?

thanks

  • I pull in Patrick Jeff Emily and Raphael this must be overseen within the new opened Topics. Due to the Fact, that not every member of the Team is working on Weekends, and there were opened a amount of new Topics, this can be happen.

If you don't get an answere by Tomorrow Afternoon, you can repost and mention me, then is will contact Patrick directly. But this should normaly help to get it back into focus.

Else you can try to Plug in the Power and hold down the Top Button, this should boot the Brain to the Recovery menue, from there redownload the Firmware and reinstall (step by step) the Firmware again. During download there is no indication. But buttons should be only avail when function is avail. Handle with care, i'm not really familiar with this menu and the function!

  • Julien Gomez Sorry, for the late reply, I am still trying to catch up here on Planet NEEO.

If I understand correctly, it looks like your NEEO Brain is completely dead, no signal from the LED whatsoever?

The NEEO Brain can be a little warm, that is no problem. This indicates that the power supply seems to be working.

Have you tried the recovery mode described by Markus Mahr ?

Could you also try connecting your NEEO Brain to ethernet again and then give it a reboot?

  • No problem, I understand that the period can be quite Hectic for you.

I will try the recovery this evening.

Iv'e tried the reboot with LAN connected, same result

for your information, I've kept the brain on LAN because I have a wifi shutdown schedule, so I prefer to have always the brain available (at least via API).

Just to be sure, do I need to plug a tv and cdmi cable for this recovery method?

else how can I see the menu...

how to do the action (select) the redownload of the FW?

    • Julien Gomez you should see your brain via the app, no need for hdmi. This port is only used for HDMi-CEC.

If you see the ip Adress of your brain, you can also try to access http://IP-OF-BRAIN:3200/eui via a desktop web browser like Firefox.

    • Julien Gomez mhh, ok, so you press the top button hold it down and plug in the Power? and then no status on the LED or your LAN? If so, the only possibility is do send out an mail to support@neeo.com with all your data and a link to this topic and they should come back to you offer a replacement. Sorry that nothing here helps.
