NEEOs in the wild (...show your setup)

We love to see pictures of NEEO out in the wild, and pictures in general 😉 Even though many have already posted a picture of their setup, we would love to see some more. This way we get a better imagination of how users are integrating NEEO in their setup and how it gets positioned.

Above you see a picture of my setup at home (didn't have time to clean up), it's no a huge setup. Next thing I want to get is a proper audio system.

I have the privilege to have a very special NEEO-Double-Decker-Black-Cat-Pure-Aluminium-Edition at home. The reason for that is not only that I work @NEEO, but I can't always update one of them since this is used by our developers for z-wave testing (I got over 30 z-wave devices):

    • Ernie No unfortunately there is no way. They only support a cloud API. The cloud API requires OAuth2 authentication which is safe but requires a backend to handle this and a web interface to deliver the authentication method. I was able to realize all this on my Homey, when I wanted to publish my driver to the Homey app store I would need a unrestricted API key at Honeywell. this is possible but after 6 months trying to get in contact with Honeywell, then having contact and getting promised a API key, then nothing... I gave up and keep it to myself. Sad story.

Wessel Otter but I also like the Lyngdorf. I’m still thinking about if this Amp would better match to my roomacoustics and setup.

    • Navy Bear the lyngdorf is awesome, Roomperfect really changed the overall sound of my setup. the match with B&W is superb. I would advice a SDA2400 amplifier with it for those 804D3

Wessel Otter I will get a Lyngdorf test device today or tomorrow from my dealer. I’m very excited! He also recommended to use a SDA 2400 and Bi Amping the 804D3s with the TDAI 2170 and SDA 2400 (http://lyngdorf.com/news-how-to-do-bi-amping/).

But first I should test the TDAI 2170 alone.

    • Navy Bear Yes with those puppies I also think bi/amping is the way to go. however on low volume the Lyngdorf will suffice. If you turn up the volume I´m positive it will get trouble to ´´breathe´´. Im very curious if the lyngdorf sound will get you away from devialet (which is superb). however the roomcorrection is just awesome and the fully digital amplification skips all the analog steps in between which results in absolute silence in the sound..

silence in the sound? yes, it will stand out how quiet the background is.

Wessel Otter have bought the TDAI-3400 and sold my Devialet 200. I’m very very happy with that decision 😊.

    • Navy Bear congrats!! You know we (I especially) want some pictures right ? ;)

Did you blindly took the gamble or did you listen at the dealer or at home? What did the lyngdorf have that the devialet didnt have?

Wessel Otter in February I listened to an TDAI-2170 bi-amped with the SDA-2400 at home and it was superb. Much more details and perfect sound in my room. My dealer told me I should wait a little, because Lyngdorf will announce something new (so I bought the 3400 blind). I’m very happy with that and for me it’s sound much better than the Devialet (also without room perfect).

  • i came from here too... here in the last week. and this is the inside of the cabinet.

Router, IKEA Tradfri and all other internetstuff is patched to the other room behind the wall.

just missing the cable conduit, this is gonna be a birch Tree, i have to finish it this week.

planned was to hide the brain inside the wood on top of the cabinet.. but the IR range was to small to cover all up. so i put the brain inside the cabinet and placed the IR extender in front of the Res.
