    Many thanks for your feedback!

Your device does not support discrete Power on and off commands. But you should have a Power toggle screen to turn the device manually on and off.

Besides this, do you turn off this device anytime? I could mark it as always on. Also, if there's any other commands, e.g. an input command, that turns on the device, I can smarten it up.

    Thanks!

Andy I'll try and make some time tonight to take a closer look for you!

  • Andy - my device definitely has a discrete on/off as I was able to control this with my Harmony. This unit also came with a remote with a power on/off option as well. Is there any way I can get you the command so it can be added?

The button on the original remote is a power toggle. This means the command does power on, power off, power on, etc toggle wise. In the opposite to discrete power commands. A discrete power command does power on a device every time and never powers it off. A discrete power off command does always power off, never power on. This makes the automation very reliably. In opposite, a power toggle command is very unreliably. Sooner or later you'll get out of sync. To prevent this, we ask the users with devices with power toggle-only drivers, to toggle the power manually - to press the power toggle button on the touchscreen every time you want to power off or turn on the device.

You mentioned Harmony - they add the power toggle command anyway and get sometimes out of sync. For this case, they have the button. You can look at the power toggle screen as something similar. You can even add the power toggle command to your recipe. It's just not done automatically. And the toggle screen will not go away with this. But see it as a rescue screen for the case you get out of sync with the power.

And as mentioned in my previous post, we may be able to smarten your device up and get rid of the power toggle screen. Is there any other commands, e.g. an input command, that turns on the device -  besides power toggle?
