DM800 HD SE discrete codes

Hi

First after posting some rewuesrs and ideas, I feel like telling you how awesome neeo is so far. Real fancy hardware, and the software holds great potential! It was worth the wait.

I am using DM800 cable receiver. This is listed as a stupid device.

After little research I found the following info: https://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/pronto-discrete-rc-codes-on-off.97289/

Could you please update the device? My TV recipe is not as nice as it could be because of the stupidness....

Thank you very much in advance

Peteü

  • Andy should be able to do this within a very short timeframe. For the 800 these codes should work. Sadly no discrete codes for the newer models.

For the DM800HDse these both codes should not work, this box uses a different command set as it is newer!

If you are Interessted, you can also try out my TCP/IP COntrol of Enigma2 Receivers witch can be found over here: https://planet.neeo.com/t/m2k53t/enigma2-sdk-driver

We have created a Live IR Test where you can test if these power commands work for you.

The Live IR Test works the following way:

    1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
    2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
    3. Click on "Live IR Test".
    4. Enter into the text field the following code: shovqPlcLU
    5. Test the commands

    Thanks for testing!

    • Andy Nothing for the Dreambox 800HDse in my case. Will setup other Dreamboxes available tomorrow and recheck on witch these keys are working. But i think these are the Codes for the older models (like 600PVR and 500)

At least there are three different Remotes for the Dreamboxes, and all are available to test, so i will check on witch device these codes work and provide the feedback.,

Markus Mahr I posted this code a few days ago, for 800/8000/7020

      Pronto Code Pro

Maybe Michael R.'s code is working?

Did you try the IR test I have sent you?

    • Andy the live test works for the dreambox DM600PVR.

It doesn't work for the DM500 HD and DM800HDse!

      Jan Pete Michael R.

I'm afraid this the same command that was already included to the IR Test. What I know that there are different version of the Dreamboxes out there. I'll copy Patrick into this post. He'll be able to explain the differences.

I also can jump in here:

There are 3 different Generations of Dreamboxes available. Therefor Dreambox uses 3 different Remotes:

All of them are Original Remotes and no clone ones!

In the Top Picture the Silver one is for the First generation (e.g. 600PVR)

The Black one in the top picture should be the second generation (e.g. 7020, 8000)

the lower Picture shows the actual third /fourth generation remote (e.g. 800HDse)

more overview can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreambox#Dreambox_models

Only the first (maybe also the second) generation is capable of discrete IR-Codes. The used IR-Chip in the newer models is not capable (or at least no one found) of direct ON OFF codes.

Thats also the reason, why i coded the SDK, to get a discrete Info about the Power. Gladly Bjorn Vandenbilcke jumped in and provide the Power task, i had not time to code this specific part on the day provided the first implementation of the sdk. He was fast with that realisation and provide the feature.

Hope this helps a little bit.

    • Michael R. Then your device will be unstupifyed as soon as andy is back in swiss (currently on the plane from San Francisco to Swiss) maybe by Monday Office Hours.

Then i also must rewrite my upper Entry, then the 7020HD is a First Generation Box, or also the Second generation is capable of discrete IR Codes.

To sad that they don't implement them in the newest available boxes as well....

Andy It's version 39. I never updated the device by myself, but the buttons are now listed as shortcuts. I apologize that I had not checked it before.

  • Hi

I'lll check tonight, thank you verd much.

The TCP/IP driver looks promising. Is there a chance to officialize this?

    Like
    • Jan Pete what exactly did you mean by offizialize it? You mean integrate it into the Brain? If do, this is actually not possible.
