Chord Hugo 2

hi guys,

the Chord Hugo 2 is supported, but clearly none of the commands for this device are working. could you please have a look at and fix it...

  • I will make sure that the device driver team will check the command set for that device again.

    Have you tried different positions for the NEEO Brain? Could you post some images of your setup? Then we can make sure that the IR signals actually have a chance to reach the device.

      On which version is the device? There was a clear problem that was fixed. I was very sure that this should work now.

  • just right next to the Chord Hugo 2 is the Technisat DigitRadio 110 IR which perfectly works. so I would exclude an IR issue with the brain.

      We tried to order the remote and contact the manufacturer. But no luck yet. I'll let you know as soon as there are any news.

      We have tried another attempt. Please test the following Live IR Test.

      The Live IR Test works the following way:

      1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
      2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
      3. Click on "Live IR Test".
      4. Enter into the text field the following code: HpkbBgF9vq
      5. Test the commands

      I have received the remote today. Actually, all codes are identical. The data in our driver is correct. It has to be a positioning issue. Please try to move the brain to a better position. It has to be perfectly in line of sight with the brain.

      I tested much different positions..... none of the commands are working. Restart Brain will not fix the problem. Every other devices working flawless. Strange thing.....

      It's indeed strange. These are standard RC5 infrared commands. They are identical with the original remote. That means the data is correct. Right now, I'm pretty much out of ideas. 
      I understand, that you have already tried different positions. But did you ever, just as a test, put the brain directly in front of the device, around 30-50cm away from it?

    • Andy Yes, i did. I will repeat the tests again and make e pic with the positions of Brain and Huo but currently i have no time to do this. The IR Sensor locate under the viewing glass and on the side of the housing gibt es, bis nach oben gezogen, ein IR Fenster:

      Even if Huo with the top (viewing glass)) to the Brain... no commands work.

    • Peter Muerner Andy I started my tests all over again and unfortunately I confirm that it doesn't work. I tried it with many different brain positions and distances but no way. also, I would expect more buttons than on/off, volume and mute.

      Finally :-) I have learned all other codes with the same technique and learning tool and updated out Chord driver with these codes. The new data appears around 6PM CET. Please update your device again. Thanks for all your patience and help!

    •   Andy I haven't done extensive tests yet, but it seems to work well so far. in a recipe I couldn't get the "power toggle on" to work, only using the "power toggle" command was able to switch on hugo2.

      Glad to hear! 
      Can you both please compare your recipe steps and try to figure out where the difference is? Power toggle and Power toggle (On) are sending the same command. It should work for Renzo, too.
