Creating multiples recipes for the same device

Hi, I don't know if the question was asked earlier, but here is what I want to do :

I have a TV and an Amplifier (for home cinema).
I would like to have 2 recipes for the same device (TV) :

 1. First recipe TV - Classic mode (without Amplifier when we are watching the news, ...)
   - Power On TV
   - Use TV Sound

2. Second recipe TV - Home Cinema mode (with Amplifier turned on when we are watching a movie)
   - Power On TV
   - Power On Amplifier
   - Set correct input for Amplifier
   - Use Amplifier Sound

My main problems are :
 - I cannot create two recipes for the TV
 - If I create a custom recipe, I don't have the "launch / power off" stuff and I have to create two custom recipes which is not really user friendly

Can anyone help me on that ?

Thank you

  • pgaultier Yes, you run into two Bugs that are known in the creation of manual Recipes!

A current work around is to add your TV a second time and let it create a second automatic recipe, then everything can be set and used. Both bugs are known issues and are allready addressed.

    Hope this helps!

  • A work-a-round that I used was to install a second device (a Sony TV that uses the same IR codes) My TV is a Sony XBR55A1E and was the fist device I installed and I integrated my AVR and other devices to this TV. For stand alone TV  usage I installed the NEEO driver for the Sony XBR65A1E (I knew it uses the same IR code set) so both TV controls and Audio controls were assigned to the appropriate hard keys when just using the TV by itself. My 2 cents.

  • Thank you Markus Mahr Patrick Keegan
I'll try to duplicate my TV in order to generate all the recipes I want.

    Happy new Year
