Shortcut Layout Has Changed

Jeff Ingrid Original shortcut slide allowed for 2 rows of shortcuts (4 total) plus control pad widget.  See photo 1.  After redesign of icons, the control pad does not fit, and has been pushed back one slide.  See photos 2 and 3.  In a nutshell, I have lost one shortcut and gained a lot of wasted space and an extra slide.  Is this a bug or intended behavior?  Will this be fixed to allow for 2 rows of 3 icons (6 total) and the control pad widget to show on the same slide?  Or will I need remove one shortcut, giving me 1 row of 3, so I have my preferred layout?  Not really a step forward for the UI if I am losing functionality.  Thanks.
