Stuck at firmware 0.48.35

I have two brains stuck on firmware 0.48.35. Every time you guys launch a new version, I get the notification and then rush to the upgrade menu, but then it says there are no new updates availables. I can't update any of my brains, what can I do?

  • Can you let us know your NEEO Host? You can find that in the About section in the settings in the NEEO App. Then I can have a developer check the logs.

I assume you tried simply rebooting the NEEO Brain, right? Do you have it on WiFi, if yes, can you temporarily connect it to ethernet and reboot it with that plugged in?

Afyer rebooting, give it 10-15 minutes until the update will be shown.

    • Caspar Helmer Did you allready rebooted the NEEO Brain and check thereafter? If so, there are other ways to bring the update to the brain as well. Therefor i will pull in Ingrid and Jeff they both are here to help in such cases.

Markus Mahr thank you for following up. Yes, I pulled the power and rebooted the Brain. And YEAH, the Brain and Remote firmware was updated. That just leaves me wondering why the firmware wasn't updated before. Jeff Ingrid

Caspar Helmer Hi Caspar! Glad to hear that your NEEO updated to the latest firmware.

There is no telling why from my end why it the update did not happen sooner. From my experience, some units update before others. This is my experience with devices outside of NEEO as well.

      Thanks!

    • Caspar Helmer it can come to such issues, when the firmware was not correctly downloaded. The reboot alleyway trigger a new check and redownload of the firmware. I currently see this behavior as a bug as the Brain should detect a corrupted download ( as it allready do otherwise it would install it) but the delete and redownload is not fully working in some cases.

If you like to help neeo keep track of the issue, you may provide the NEEO hostname to take a look I side the log files. You can find you neeo hostname in the about section of the remote and the app.
