Support for Aeonlabs Z-wave devices

Is support for Aeonlabs Z-wave devices already on the wishlist?

Can't find any Aeonlabs device on the Neeo HCL. I agree that Fibaro is the best, but support for Aeonlabs Z-wave devices will be appreciated.

  • If you check for Aeotec I think it's a given already.

  • Hope it will support Aeotec OEM as well, such as Oomi.

Oomi use exactly the same Aeotec accessories (plug, multisensory, door sensor, light, water sensor, etc) but maybe use different naming/ID in the device firmware? Not sure whether this can be recognized straight away by Neeo. Anyone here know?

In general the Aeon-Labs or rather Aeotec devices are already in our database and they should be supported. If any are missing, post it on Planet NEEO or send an email to support@neeo.com .

Bernhard I did a quick check in our database, seems like these are not in there. I have assigned this to a developer. I can't give an ETA, but it shouldn't be to difficult to have these added, at least the ones listed on the official z-wave alliance page.

I am moving this over to discussion since there is not really a need to vote for that. Adding z-wave devices to our database is not really a big deal as long as the needed data is available.

Patrick Thank you for your assistance.

I also imagine that adding Oomi accessories shouldn't be too difficult since it is came from the same OEM as Aeotec accessories, so all of their hardware (even the shape), command classes, etc will be the same (with only difference is probably device ID or naming section).

Support for this Oomi accessories is crucial for me, since I have more than 60 of them!

Support for Oomi Cube and Oomi Touch are different matter though, as it is totally different hardware altogether and unique to Oomi. But this is not important to me and can be added later, since I plan to use NEEO remote as my main Z-Wave controller anyway.

Bernhard Right, but we still need to add them since they have a different ID as you said. I have already assigned the task, should be coming with one of the next updates.

      Patrick Thank You 👍

Just curious, how easy (or how hard) it is, if in the future I found this same scenario and want to perform this task myself? Does it need advanced programming skills? Or it can be as easy as copy and paste from existing supported devices?

Bernhard Do you mean adding missing z-wave devices to our database?

Patrick Yes. Is it possible for us to add new z-wave devices ourselves? Or its need to be done by NEEO?

How about adding Bluetooth devices into NEEO database?

Bernhard No, this is not possible at the moment. If you are missing z-wave devices, let us know here on Planet NEEO, if we can find the required data we'll add them as quickly as possible.

One way to help is when you have detailed z-wave information on the device, to attach the document on the forum.

      Patrick I see.

How about Bluetooth devices? For example Playbulb range of product?

I have more than 2 dozen of them, waiting to be integrated with NEEO...
