Forward Actions Horribly Slow

I am in the process of setting up my Neeo and intended to use the forward actions to control devices, however, what I am noticing is there is a huge delay (6 seconds for me) between the command on remote/app and the JSON actually being "forwarded".  Is this normal?

Thanks,

Cody

  • Cody Vance No this is not normal. You get the action within ms after the keystroke that should work smoothly. In this case, I would first check the network or check with the instance to which you are sending the data.

  • I doubt it's network latency, I have a pretty robust network (all Ubiquiti hardware) and do not experience that with any other devices.  The brain is hard wired and so is the server (I'm using Node-RED) that's receiving the forwarded JSONs.  I also have other devices that use the same tcp input with almost zero latency.  Any suggestions on what else may be the issue?

    Thanks,

Emmanuel Serebe I was using the TCP node, however, that's what was causing the latency.  I am now using the http listener, and there is no latency, but I had to turn off https.  Is there a way to make it work with https?

Edit : When you use the TCP node combine it with the json node for the output. And MQTT input back to the BRAIN (It's like two way control😎)

Emmanuel Serebe I had no idea that existed, I’ll give it a try and let you know how it goes.  Thanks for your help!
