Does Neeo Remote work with SmartThings Hub?

Does Neeo work with SmartThings Hub?

My home automation is based on both z-wave, wifi and zigbee.. and Smartthings is the automation hub.

Will I be able to control my switches, scenes, setup on the ST hub through Neeo? Or will i have to bypass and directly connect the switches and devices to neeo?

  • Jamie Dimon That depends on what you can do with smart things Hub yourself. If you are able to execute scripts on the gateway then you can both receive commands from NEEO and send them to NEEO. Natively at the moment, a smart things hub is not supported by NEEO. If it is not possible with the Smart things gateway itself you would need a home automation as a middleware to connect both systems.  If you believe you are able to set up this on your own you can use as a cheap solution openHAB with the smart things and NEEO binding . Then you can control your devices with NEEO  currently controlled by the smart things hub.

At this point, you can only include NEEO as a secondary controller and control the Z-Wave devices. Note that there are limitation of any secondary controller in a Z-Wave network.

Paul Spee  Is there any guidance on how to install NEEO as a second controller in an existing Z-wave network? I would then in fact also use NEEO to extend the range of an existing Z-wave network. What do I have to do that NEEO is recognized by the master controller?

On the Primary Controller, add the Brain as a new device.

On the Brain, go to  NEEO Brain > Z-Wave actions > Include in existing network.

Paul Spee Thank you, i get "Failed to learn Z-Wave network from master controller". in the NEEO app. I will see if I can solve this somehow.

It could be a timing issue or you may want to change the order.
