  • I use Napster as that is what I have to use in my car (BMW).

When I move away from BMW (hopefully to Tesla!), I will probably move to Spotify.

    Thanks

  • I have to admit that I am a bit tied to Spotify by now. Not only do I have my playlists stored there but I am also on a familiy plan with my parents and my wife. Switching the service would therefore cause some hassle for several people.

I consider switching to Google Play Music every once in a while because I prefer their Chromecast integration over Spotify's. Still, I have always gotten back to Spotify by now. I also have the feeling that the Spotify playlist suggestions better match my taste but that may well be because I use Google Music not often enough.

    Let's see...

  • Normaly prefferr to use Spotify. Due to it Limitations (only one user can use it in my payment) and also the "free" Amazon Prime Music" i also use this one. And of course have an own library, but doesn't use it since Spotify has nearlly all Artists i love to here.

  • Thanks for posting this topic Patrick!

I've been a Spotifyer since 2009. However, recently I've been thinking about 'upgrading' to Tidal since I prefer higher SQ (sound quality).

My favourite feature of Spotify is Discover Weekly and hope I can find the same thing in Tidal. Just waiting for some new IEM's to arrive in the post from China then will do some sound comparisons and see if Tidal's worth it.

  • I use a combination of Spotify, Google Music, and my personal collection.  Working on getting my own collection fleshed out with what I like from streaming services and building up so it's mostly local storage.

  • I use Google play as it integrates nicely with my Google Home. Hopefully with the voice API I will be able to integrate the Neeo too.

  • I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I have more than one. Own mp3/AAC collection, own ALAC collection, and also Apple Music and spotify free and once in a while Tidal and Spotify premium.

  • Spotify all the way because:

    1. Largest music catalogue avail online

    2. Music shuffle works very well and doesn't repeat the same rotation like iTunes or Pandora

    3. Love their customize recommended playlist

    4. Integrations with other apps like iPhone iOS, Apple Watch, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Echo Dot works seamlessly

    5. Able to integrate playlist with "DJay" app for both iOs and OSX app

  • 1.Own library (mostly flac + mp3s)

    2. Tidal HiFi

    3. Tune In

Why own library these days? Because I have a good selection of stuff, including digitized vinyl, that is too oddball as to be ever become available online. Oh yeah I forgot:

    4. turntable (external source) streamed via line in
