Vizio D32H-F0

As the title states I cannot add my tv to my remote. I just recently purchased a 2nd remote/brain and it’s a smart tv and I would love to have control of a lot of the options it has. My main issue is I cannot go back to the Visio smart TVs screen to use the apps. Can this be added to the remote ir database so I can control it? I’m currently using a generic database to get by for the time being but I’m always teaching back for my vizio remote which is a headache. Thanks in advance!

  • Hi, Jim Wahlman. Thank you for reaching out to us.  Could you please press and hold the "Menu" button on the NEEO Remote. Long press MENU leads back to the main menu, short press leads you to GUIDE. 

    If that doesn't help, please let me know which button on your original remote leads you back to your app menu?

  • I attempted this with the current generic ir database and it didn’t work holding the hard button menu or the touchscreen menu button. The button I use is the Vizio button. I will attach a picture. Also I’m a old home automation tech so no worries there ;)

      We have just added your model. We have no button called "Vizio". But we have a command called "Internet apps". Please test if this is the correct button. The new device appears around 1PM CET. Let me know if you have any further issues with controlling this device. Thanks!

  • Not working, I don’t see this button or any for that matter when adding the D32H-F0 device thru the iOS app. It even says it’s not a smart device when it definitely is since I can use discrete on and off commands using a ir database. It well past 1pm CET. Was this even tested?

      I'm sorry to hear!

      When I add the device here, it doesn't come up as a not-so-smart device. We are offering discrete power commands and discrete input commands. Alos, the command "Internet Apps"  is available here. You can add it to the shortcut screen. As you say that you don't see discrete commands or "Internet Apps", can you please check again if you have actually added the D32H-F0? If yes, on which frimware version is the Brain? Thanks!

  • Every time I add it it comes up as a not so smart device. As stated in this topic prior I have programmed remotes such as universal, pronto etc for a living, for years. There is no additional discrete commands anywhere after it’s added via the iOS app. Something is very wrong here I wish I could debug further but I don’t see how it could be my end when I pull the IR database from your servers, my brain says it’s up to date as well as the iOS app. I have added a recipe for it and the last picture is all that I receive for commands.

      As I see, the device is on version 4. But our driver is already on version 16. Are you 100% sure that you have completely deleted and re-added the device? If yes, you should have gotten the most current version. Please delete the device again, disconnect the brain from the power cable, wait 10 seconds. Connect it again and wait until it's fully powered on (a couple of seconds after the white LED stopped flashing). Now, add the device again and check if you get version 16.

  • I power cycled the brain (waited over 10 seconds while unplugged then I plugged it back into power). I readded the tv’s model again, still on version 4, still not a smart device etc etc. I also have another brain (black cat version) and remote so I switched to it via the iOS app. Same exact issue still on version 4 when adding the same model TV, still a “not so smart device”. I have a third brain (another black cat model) being delivered tommorow, I am tempted to create another account and will use another iOS device to add the app again. Seems like a big pain to debug, I don’t get why I’m not pulling the new device from your servers. Why can’t you use a VPN to spoof your geo location to test outside of your network to see if these updates are being actually pushed to your customers?

      There seems to be something wrong with this driver. In our database the version is much higher, but even when I'm adding the device here, version 4 appears. So, it's not an issue with your brain. I have now cloned the device and deleted the old one from the database. Hopefully this fixed the issue. Please delete and re-add the device. The new version will appear around 7PM CET and should be on version 18.

      I'm currently in contact with our developers. Other device data updates are forwarded, but not for this driver. We don't know yet why. But be assured that we are working on it. I'll let you know as soon as there are any news!

      I'm sorry for not informing you! The update process works again. If updating or re-adding the device still doesn't raise the version, your issue is not related. Next step would be to check if something is wrong with your brain. Let me know if updating or re-adding does help. Thanks!
