Brain won't stop flashing!
Andy My Brain won't boot. LED just keeps flashing. I had it powered down, and now it won't power back up.
Connecting Ethernet doesn't help. Pushing the button on top of the Brain doesn't help.
Is the server down? Is the Brain bricked? Am I doing something wrong?

Andy it flashes normal pace, white. For eight hours now.
I did notice that if I hold the top button down when powering up that it will flash red. But obviously don't want to do a factory reset if at all possible to avoid starting all recipes over from scratch. So I didn't restart the app with the red flashing, but rather powered down again from the red. Then powered up again to white flashing.
App reads "desperately seeking Brain", then "connect by IP"

It only factory resets if you press this button while plugging it in. Hopefully you didn't do that, otherwise it is now reseted.

Andy Still the same. White flashing, normal pace. I've rebooted the network. Still the constant flashing. Tried many times. With or without Ethernet, always white flashing.
Has Jeff quit? No sign of him for weeks now. You seem to be the lone ranger.
I'm at a loss as to what else to do. I guess the ship is clearly sinking.

Andy I direct messaged Jeff but still heard nothing. I can only guess radio silence means he has left. The white light is still flashing. Pity there was no Backup/Recovery function.Reply Like

So, to my knowledge, the software team never fixed the cloud backups. They may be completely useless.Reply Like
Jeff Oh! So there is such a thing, just maybe useless? I've emailed for the replacement (will I hear confirmation that someone received it?). Once I get the replacement, how can I try the web backup -- if I got lucky and it works, it would save me a lot of hassle!

Andy I typed email@example.com and it populated with Rafael's name as shown - though I've removed Rafael from my address book. I assumed Rafael was just a text label, but maybe it routed based on that??
