Complete Remote Shutdown
I recently received my BlackCat Neeo. I have been using it for 2-3 days and suddenly the remote has stopped working completely i.e. it doesn't even turn on.
It was fully charged and in the charger when I left it last night and this morning it will not work at all.
I have checked the charger in different plug sockets in my home and it makes no difference.
I'm not sure what the problem is.
The brain seems to be working fine and I can use the phone app to control things.
Whilst using the remote in the past couple of days I did think the battery was draining quite quickly (i.e. 2% every 10 minutes or so when I was using it to control my tv cable box) and there was also a download symbol in the top right corner of the screen most of yesterday.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Any ideas what I can do?
Pav this is a known issue and can be occuring in a very unlucky state. To reboot the Remote and get it back running, hold the Power key for at least 7 seconds, this forces the remote to shut down. then press the power switch for a short time this should bring the remote back to life.
The issue will be adressed by the Team, i guess. Patrick
Pav Glad you got the NEEO Remote up and running again. Could you let me know which firmware you are running on the NEEO Remote and Brain?
The downloading icon you were seeing indicates that the remote was downloading a new firmware, which does use a lot of battery if it does that all day long, this should only take a few minutes. Did you get an update in the meantime?
Dallas Marley I have seen your other post . If the support team was not able to help you out. Could you try switching the power supply and cable from your NEEO Brain over to your dock? I would really like to make sure that it actually is an issue with the NEEO Remote and not related to it not being charged.
