MEO/Altice - Scientific Atlanta KMM3010 - PT

My ISP/TV provider here in Portugal is MEO (just acquired by Altice), I can't get the remote to work with the Set-top Box (a Scientific Atlanta [Cisco] KM3010-PT).

Tried through the other similar devices available but not luck.

  • I have sort of the same issue with the Cisco ISP2231.

  • Pedro Lourenço I have assigned this to our device driver team, they will try to add the command set needed for your specific device.

Jacob Paaske Can you let us know which provider you have?

We'll add the device ASAP. I did not see your post. Sorry!

    • Andy no problem! The device is already added Cisco isp2231, but just doesn't work. Do you need to add a specific device for the Yousee Cisco ISP2231?

Thanks for you help, just let me know when it's added and working. Thanks again!

Exactly, we need to add the Yousee version. But there is no specific driver available. Can you please test one of our other supported Yousee devices? Thanks!

      Hi again,

Unfortunately, we don't have any more YouSee drivers. We also have a TDC version of your device. It would be great if you could test this, too.

If it also doesn't work, we'll contact YouSee about this. Thanks!

We have just added your device. Let me know if it works. The generic Scientific Atlanta driver may not work for you.

    • Pedro Lourenço please check if you can Power On the device with commands other than power toggle. If there are any then provide them here. this could help making your device seem smart,

    • @Niels de Klerk  the wife's currently going mad on COD, if I touch the remote now I'll probably get shot too...

I'll check for that and get back to you asap.

    • Niels de Klerk just checked all buttons on the remote.

All digits power up the device (0 through 9), as expected all shortcuts to channels also do this. Every other button does nothing if the device is off. Hope it helps, let me know if you need anything else.

    • Pedro Lourenço great with this information Andy and the driver team can smarten the device. If you woul be so kind to check how long it takes after powering it on until it reacts on the power toggle button to turn it off again. They would need this timing as well.

    • Niels de Klerk Andy I've just tested this out. It looks to me there are two different timings:

1 - If the box has been idle for a while - I press power on and it takes just under 7 seconds until it's on and ready to be shutdown again.

2 - It has been recently used and shutdown (it seems it has a cool down/shutdown cycle while it's still buzzing and whizzing) , it's boot time is much shorter, around 2 seconds to boot up and be ready to shutdown.

As a side note, the Cable recipe generated when I added the box to the device List doesn't always manage to turn it on.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

  • Hello again guys, my box died on me yesterday, the replacement is a Cisco ISB2231 just like Jacob's but my ISP is still MEO/Altice.

I've tried adding the device but it won't work so I'm guessing you need to update driver's for my ISP as well?

Let me know if you need any additional info so I can test it out.

    Thanks

Did you try our Altice box? Usually the codes are provider specific and not manufacturer specific. If it doesn't work, let me know the Altice model name. Our currently added box is e.g. the Altice ONE. Let me know!

    • Andy Just tried it, but no luck there, not a single command goes through on the test phase of the setup, any other alternatives I can try?

We'll check if we can obtain the correct codes.

Besides this, we just had a case where nothing worked within the test, but all worked fine after adding the device. To be 100%, can you please in the meantime finish the setup and see if it works anyway? Thanks!

I'm sorry for the further ado, but can you please send me an image of the box. I still have trouble to identify which exact box it is. Afterwards, I'll send you a Live IR Test with a couple of codes for you to test. Thanks!

      Many thanks!

      Here you go!

The Live IR Test works the following way:

      1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
      2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
      3. Click on "Live IR Test".
      4. Enter into the text field the following code: QSwpGpHTtw
      5. Test the commands

Glad to hear! We have added the device now. Unfortunately, the selection of buttons doesn't match 100% with your device. Basic functions should all work already. But we now have to figure out the rest.

The new device appears around 7PM CET.
