Release update not available

Hello,

Last week I bought a new remote.

A friend of mine has the Neeo for a while. His remote control has the 0.53.8 release on it. My remote has release 0.45.11 and says there is no newer software available. Why this and how can I update it to the new software?

  • Christian Loschin Sometimes the Update is not directly shown as available. This is due to the Progress Updates are handled. They are firstly downloaded to the brain, then validated and then shown as new Update available.

    To force a recheck and re download you can simply pull the power cable of the brain and re plug it. Then wait round about 10-20 minutes and then check again if an update is indicated. If not, reply here again.

      The restart did not help. According to the brain, the software 0.45.16 is still the latest version.

    • Christian Loschin this is a very old software.

      I would then suggest to do a recovery, therefor pull out the power cable, install the rj-45 to a free network port and the Brain, put in the power and simultaneously hold down the top of the Brain.

      Attention: make sure to follow the instructions step by step, otherwise it can lead to a damaged unit.

      During the download of software, the loading bar will not continue to go fuller.

      now the LED on the brain flashes red and does not stop.

    • Christian Loschin a red flash should indicate a update is installed. let it run for some time. afterwards it should be off and or white blinking. if it is a solid white then it is fully booted again.

  • what Markus Mahr said, but in addition, are you also a beta tester? I think the 0.53.8 is not yet officially out for non-beta testers.

  • I have not received any feedback from Jeff or Support so far. Only an automatic email, that a response usually takes up to 24 hours.

    Are there any other ways to get the update?

    Do I have to worry about Neeo being sold? Has this possibly a connection that I get no update?
