Can't turn on/off Intel NUC with LibreELEC

Hello,

I'm running LibreELEC on my Intel NUC D34010WYK with the default settings. On my NEEO remote I have configured the NUC as "Microsoft MCE Media Center (Advanced) Version 25".

So far everything works fine, but I am not able to turn the NUC on or off.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks! Please test the commands included into the following Live IR Test.

The Live IR Test works the following way:

    1. Navigate to the Settings Menu in your NEEO app.
    2. Navigate to NEEO Brain.
    3. Click on "Live IR Test".
    4. Enter into the text field the following code: JXhSSs7CAB
    5. Test the commands

    Thanks for testing!

"Power Off" and "Power On" works.

      Thanks!

We have just added this command. The new data appears around 1PM CET. Please update your device according to this guide. Thanks!

      Thanks.

I've updated the device 5 minutes ago, but it still does not work.

Which device was updated? Was it "Microsoft MCE Media Center (Advanced) Version 25" or a different one?

No, we updated the Intel D34010WYK. It has the exact same driver as the MCE, except for the power command. The MCE driver is more generic - the current power command in the Intel driver would not work for everybody that doesn't own such a device. Just add the Intel D34010WYK to the NEEO and all should be fine. Thanks!

      Ok, that makes sense. 🙂

I've changed yesterday evening the device and the recipe to D34010WYK. Works perfectly now.

Than you very much Andy !

  • Hi i have the same problem for discrete on/off comands with my Intel NUC5i3RYH. I hoped that the new update bring this to work, but it's still only the power toggle command only which works.

I don't have the possibility to mark it as a not so smart device, because NEEO think it's a smart one. Is there also a workaround for my NUC?

Thanks for your feedback! There was an old version of the driver attached. I changed that now. The new data appears around 12AM CET. You'll have to re-add the device. Let me know if it works any better. If not, I'll mark it as "not so smart". Thanks!

    • Andy Sorry, but it's still a not so smart device...and now there isn't a power toggle available on the devices commands, so i can't use the NUC now ...an this is my most important device..

But you have deleted and re-added the device, correct?

The current version contains discrete power commands that are confirmed to wake up the device. It's standby only. As long as they work, no power toggle is needed. But if it still shows as a not-so-smart device, there is something wrong anyway.

    • Andy a deleted the NUC and added it new. Yesterday i checked again the commands, so "power off" turns the NUC on and off, but Power On has no function at all.

    • Andy in the NEEO App the NUC does not appear as a "not smart device" i guess that's why there's no power toggle command now. Sorry for my english ;-)
